I am a bioinformatician at Research Center Borstel in the north of Germany. In the last decade I have mainly worked with
NGS data either on the pipeline development or data analysis part using
knowledge in programming (bash, perl, python) and biological data analysis
(R, various population genetic and phylogeny tools). Besides that I
have been a part of WHO and ECDC expert panels and/or teachings of NGS
implementation and data analysis in lung diseases. Finally I am a part
of an NGS implementation team establishing sequencing capacity in
African countries (Namibia, Mozambique, Botswana..).
