The video recordings below were extracted from the webinar conducted by the ECDC and the AURORAE consortium with support by the European Union Reference Laboratory (EURL) for Avian Influenza and Newcastle Disease.
It took place on 20 March 2025.
The webinar was delivered to members of the ECDC disease networks for respiratory viruses only and aimed to provide information regarding avian influenza infection in humans including experiences of detection avian influenza from the field, discussion of recent ECDC EQA results (not included in the public recordings in here) and tools for genomic analysis of avian influenza.
Objectives: After watching these video recordings should be able to:
- Be aware of the concept and relevance of detecting avian influenza in humans.
- Describe exemplary specimen flow and laboratory algorithms for testing.
- Be aware of available bioinformatic tools for avian influenza sequence analysis.
